About Us
It began in early 2007 with a Jason Davis "On the Road" local TV interest story. It highlighted the Lillians girls from Buffalo. Kristy saw the story and thought that she would enjoy being part of the Lillians team. She also knew who would be perfect to share the experience with, so she contacted her friend, Diane. Both of them had grown up in a small community in eastern Wisconsin, but were now living in Hudson. Diane, her husband and three sons were the first to locate to Hudson in 1995 from Chicago; Kristy and her husband, Mike, moved to the river valley from the Twin Cities a few years later. In June 2007, the idea of Lillians became a reality in Hudson. Within one year of operation, it became apparent that more shoppe space was needed, so a move to our current larger "right downtown" street level location was made.
The community has been very warm and generous in helping make the shoppe a success. Initially there was some skepticism about the idea of the "occasional sale" model, but the community soon realized that Lillians has something unique and special taking place. Kristy and Diane have taken great pride and joy in establishing special relationships with the Lillians family and their growing legion of Lillians shoppers. You are only a stranger once to Lillians of Hudson. After your first visit, you become family.
About Hudson
Hudson is one of the fastest growing communities in Western Wisconsin. Surrounded by the St. Croix river bluffs and the St. Croix river, this historic river town has a beauty which can’t be matched anywhere this close to the Twin Cities. Hudson is within 15 miles of St. Paul, but it is like traveling back in time when you stroll the historic main street and browse through some of the most unique and eclectic shops in the St. Croix River Valley.
